Designated Service Providers (DSP) are selected by the medical scheme to provide healthcare services to members. The DSP may be hospitals, doctors and pharmacies.
There are many DSP Pharmacies country-wide. A co-payment may apply to medicines and services obtained from a provider that is not a DSP. Therefore, members are encouraged to make use of Designated Service Provider (DSP) Pharmacies when claiming medicine, so that member out-of-pocket expenses may be avoided.
Refer to your medical scheme rules for further information.
